Communication Arts Zine

This editorial design project explores how influential Black designers have often been overlooked in traditional design history spaces despite shaping the visual language of modern art and communication. Created as a special magazine insert for Communication Arts, the project reintroduces these creatives through a more engaging, visually-driven storytelling experience centered on the work and legacy of Aaron Douglas.

Working as part of a three-person team, I designed the table of contents, overview spreads, and feature layouts highlighting Douglas’s work, style, and cultural impact.
